Is Deception Ever Justified?

Deception is sometimes justified. People shouldn’t be satisfied with themselves when they play this card every time they can, but it is true that sometimes it is required. It shouldn’t be used fallowing a mean purpose as human ethic dictates; Actually it dictates that lies shouldn’t even exist in our thoughts. However people deceive, ignoring with that action this principle.
The best relationships are based in always telling the truth. That can get us strong commintment towards friends or causes, so strong that we would be willing to lie to protect them. Lying in order to cover a friend or an important cause is often considered as a good action depending on the scenario. Jose Marti, the most remarkable character in Cuban History, said that there are some things that in order to realize them you have to keep them in the shadows. Moreover, probably he had to lie one or two times to carry on with the Cuban revolution after all, but no one would dare to say that he was a mean man just because of that.
The feeling of guiltiness when you lie must not be lost. If that happen You'll get used to the shortcuts that a lie can provide, and therefore become ‘addict’ to it. Yes, lying deliberately can get those who don’t know when it’s better to say the truth in a hole very hard to come out .   Like a friend I have that is always customizing his stories making them so glorious that seem out of this world. At the end we always discover that those stories are lies, and he is trying to make us think that he is amazing. Ultimately we just stopped believing what he said; whether it is true or not. Now, it is so hard to trust in whatever came out of his mouth.
There is the difference between using deception because it’s necessary and for a major good, or because you like it. I would like to believe that I will always say the truth, unless there is a life or death matter on the table that requires me to lie. That is how, in my thought, humanity must behave.

Is Progress Always Good?

It’s true that humankind wouldn't have gotten where it is today if in their mind wasn’t this strong principle of always going forward to progress. Indeed, that is an admirable thing of ourselves. Parents try to push and support their children so they can get where they couldn’t. Tutors trust their uncompleted researches in hands of their tutees. And this happen in most of the fields humans are related with. We hope that future generations can get further than where we were when our life’s sunset stopped us. But this endless hunger for progression could drive them directly where we don’t want them to be.
What would be of the earth we know today without airplanes, or electricity, or even internet? That rhetorical question drives us to a scenario that most would describe as a nightmare. The world we know today is thanks to the efforts of previous generations and the continuity of their ideals by us. That’s a great example that people expectation of life is now longer than before and it continue to grow. Also men were put on the moon by machines that built by geniuses . It’s plenty of examples out there.  Be aware though. Perhaps progress is not always the answer.
The growth of energy consumption is an intrinsic   characteristic of development. In the last decade we have consumed more energy than we had since the beginning of humanity. And that fact is likely come up again in 10 years, and so on if we keep doing like we are now. This empowers the global warm up, and the destruction of our environment. Up to this point humanity is pretty concerned about it, but we are not sure how to stop it because we would have to stop the flow of life like it is now. This consumption factor is driving in a track to nowhere.
We have to come up with new ideas to stop this voracious waste of energy but at the same time don’t stop progress. No one said it’ll be easy. No one said it’ll be impossible. Once again we have to plant a seed of a tree that our predecessors will take care of.  We have to start a project that will save energy, preserve our home, and won’t stop the flow that has brought the men where it is nowadays, the same flow that will take it to where it is going to be, of course, if nothing else stops it.

Hard Work or Matter of Luck?

While some say that they worked hard others would say that it was just luck. The truth is most of us that simply don’t know how to read the thin line between success and a matter of luck. Indeed, that’s one of the most difficult things to realize, because mysteriously they are so often tied one to another.
In order to success it would by silly to just sit back and wait for a life changing twist of the destiny hoping that the universe is going to collaborate and look after for your prosperity. So what people often do is start building their future by working so hard. For instance, Warren Buffett, one of America’s most successful businessmen in history, started investing and studying so hard economics since he was about 12 years old. He didn’t sleep in the laurels. It wasn’t easy to get where he is today. Although, some people claim that he was so lucky to meet with rich fellows willing to lend him money, trusting their wealth into a young inexperienced man’s hand. There is the lucky factor in this story too.
Others seem to just be there when their opportunity fell down from the sky. Lots of celebrities, movie stars and top models have jumped into fame just because they were in the right place when a scout from a large entertainment company was walking around there. But what happen after? Following the first push they have to carry the weight all the way to the end. They have to work on their image. They have to keep themselves famous. They have to be accepted by their audience. Now we have the hard work theory in this case also.
I tend to think after reviewing these things that success and luck complement each other. Probably you will find more of one of them in a success story but definitely they both will appear in the credits. True be told, I wouldn’t wait for a scout or something to bring me the opportunity, I would go and try to reach it by myself. Moreover, it is never unwelcome if it comes up.

And for those who prefer Mathematics here goes my equation: Hard Work + Some Luck (not always required) = Success.
